2x + y = -2

4x+y=-8

x=0.5

2x+y= -2

and

4x+y= -8 so...

2x+y= -2 = 4x+y= -8

2x+4x= 6x

y+y=2y

-2+-8= -10

6x+2y= -10

2y- -10= 12

6x=12
