A rectangular field is two times as long as it is wide. If the perimeter of the field is 300 feet, what are
the dimensions of the field?

let the width of the field be represented by x.
since the length is two times as long as the width, the length of the field is 2x.

perimeter of field = 6x = 300 feet
x = 50 feet
hence, width,x = 50 feet
length, 2x = 100 feet
