[tex] \frac{x}{5} = \frac{10}{8}

Cross multiply. [/tex]

[tex] \frac{x}{5} = \frac{10}{8} x * (8) = (10) * (5) 8x = 50

Divide both sides by 8. [/tex]

[tex] \frac{8x}{8} = \frac{50}{8}

[tex]x = \frac{25}{4} [/tex]

In short the answer is x = 25/4
