Irrigation: The Egyptians developed systems of irrigation to make the most of the Nile's water, they diverted flood waters from cities to prevent them from flowing. Irrigation was crucial to their agricultural success, but regardless, there were no statewide regulations on water control. Irrigation was the responsibility of local farmers.

That's all I know I hope it helped! :)
