why does a plant cell have a cell wall but an animal cell doesn't

Plant cells have a cell wall unlike animal cells because the shape of a plant cell is only confined to the shapes of their respective cell wall, whereas an animal cell can come in many shapes. Hope this helped you understand and have a great day!
